Privacy Policy

MinikHayat (minikhayat.com) is a free app for tracking the expenses, maintenance and shared costs of boats, vans and RVs, tiny houses, holiday homes, village houses and similar living spaces. This policy explains how we process your personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we process

• Account details: your email address and (optionally) your name. Your password is never stored in plain text; it is irreversibly hashed (PBKDF2).
• If you sign in with Google: the email address, name and profile photo address Google shares with us. We never access your Google password or other Google data.
• What you enter in the app: your living spaces, expenses, maintenance, fault and equipment records, and the names you type for the people you share costs with.
• Technical records: session information (a session cookie in your browser), last sign-in time and visit count. We do not store your IP address permanently.
• Analytics and ad measurement: Google Analytics and Meta Pixel; which pages were opened and events such as sign-up and sign-in. Your expense amounts and entry contents are never sent to these services.

Why we process it and the legal basis

• To create your account, let you sign in and run the app (performance of a contract; KVKK art. 5/2-c, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• Security: limiting failed sign-in attempts and preventing abuse (legitimate interest; KVKK art. 5/2-f, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
• Usage statistics and ad measurement to improve the app (legitimate interest). You can turn this off anytime in the app under Account → Usage Statistics.

Who we share data with

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting of the app and database (servers in Europe).
• Google LLC — Google sign-in and Google Analytics.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — Meta Pixel (when enabled).

These providers may be located abroad, so data may be transferred internationally. We do not sell or rent your data or give it to third parties for advertising. The admin panel only shows aggregate numbers; it never shows anyone's individual expense entries.

How long we keep it

As long as your account is open. When you delete your account in the app under Account > Delete My Account, your account and all living space, expense, maintenance and equipment records are permanently deleted. You can export them as an Excel/CSV file or a full backup before deleting.

Your rights

You have the right to know whether your data is processed, to request information, to have it corrected or deleted, to learn who it was shared with, to object, to data portability and to compensation for damages. Send requests to bilgi@minikhayat.com; we reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie so the app works. We also use Google Analytics (and Meta Pixel when enabled) measurement cookies to improve the site; your IP address is anonymized. You can turn this off in the app under Account → Usage Statistics or block it in your browser's cookie settings.

Changes

We may update this policy and will announce important changes in the app. The current version is always at this address. If the English and Turkish versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
